The motion was made to amend LB 269 to 1) change the LB 693 meeting date to October 20th, 2) repeal outright section 79-1073, and 3) amend section 77-1701 to make the CTL publication date December 5.

A motion was made to amend LB 269 by amending 77-1340, which sets dates for allowing counties to surrender the assessment function to the state earlier. Instead of January 1, the dates would be October 31 for 1997 and June 30 for each year thereafter.
