Minimum Levy Adjustment

The Minimum Levy Adjustment was designed to prevent systems with low levies from receiving a windfall in state aid.  The idea was that aid should gravitate to those districts that have utilized most or all the local resources available.

NOTES:
  1. The minimum levy adjustment is added to the formula resources for the determination of Equalization Aid.

  2. The formula provides that if the minimum levy adjustment is greater than or equal to the allocated income tax funds, then the local system will not receive allocated income tax funds.
