This website houses composite legislative histories of each legislative measure having a direct or indirect impact on the evolution of the school finance formula. Rather than sifting through individual documents, these composites contain all relevant information in one database, which can be sorted and searched as needed. The use of historical databases adds an element of efficiency to researching and studying school finance issues.
The composite histories are formatted in FileMaker Pro 8.0v1, which is compatible with both Mac and Windows platforms.
Composite histories contain:
- All hearing and floor transcripts segmented by individual testimony or debate speech;
- Committee documents, including statements of intent, committee statements, and executive session reports;
- Text of amendments in the sequence they are discussed during floor debate; and
- All votes taken relevant to a particular bill, including both record and machine votes on amendments, votes to advance, votes to pass, votes to override veto.
